CALL FOR THE AWARD OF ANNUAL PRIZE FOR WOMEN'S CREATIVITY IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE YEAR 2017 (DEADLINE: APRIL 30, 2017)

The Women's World Summit Foundation announced a competition for the annual prize for women's creativity in rural development for 2017.

The Women’s World Summit Foundation is an international, non-profit, humanitarian NGO with consultative status at the UN, aimed at promoting and exercising women’s and children’s rights and the UN development agenda.

The goal of the prize is to draw international attention to the contribution that women laureate made in the field of sustainable development, food security and peace in rural areas, and is given to women and women's organizations that have demonstrated exceptional creativity, courage and commitment to improving the quality of life in rural communities.

Eligible to apply are women and women groups that are currently active in rural development.

The amount of award is 1, 000 US dollars per woman laureate.

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 30, 2017. Nominations must be sent exclusively by mail.
