CALL FOR THE 2016 "ZANA BORISAVLJEVIC "AWARD (DEADLINE JANUARY 31, 2017)

Belgrade – The "Grab Life" Foundation issued a call for the 2016 "Zana Borisavljevic" award, which is given for contributing to the development of education society in which human values ​​are cherished.

The award was established in memory of the late Zana Borisavljevic, the Head of the Education Plus organization. It is an incentive to all those who strive to improve the formal and informal educational processes, and especially to those who inspire and motivate others to develop, to change for the better, to spread positive energy, to promote knowledge, education, tolerance, humanity, care and love for others and who believe that their views shape their lives, while their activities change other people's lives.

The 2016 award is given in the category of "male/female teachers," while eligible to apply are male/female teacher employed in schools all over the Republic of Serbia.

The subject of the call is a report in which  the activities undertaken with students or their parents are described, which are designed to contribute to the development of students' self-confidence, self-esteem, tolerance, humanity and concern for others, skills for teamwork, critical thinking skills, and the overcoming of prejudice and discrimination.

The criteria to be assessed are:

1. Creativity and innovation in the undertaking of activities

2. Human values ​​in the design and the undertaking of activities

3. Activity results - effects in working with students after the undertaking of activities

To apply, please submit a filled-in application form with a description of the undertaken activities and additional documents (such as statements of the participants, photos and the like).

Application forms should be e-mailed to uhvatizivot@oplus.org.rs by January 31, 2017.

The winner will be awarded a plaque and a symbolic pecuniary amount (of 20,000 dinars) at the  Teacher Assembly  in June 2017.

The Education Plus organization will reward the winner with a free attendance of the seminar "The Good Cooperation with Parents," which was co-written by the late Zana Borisavljevic.
