CALL FOR SONY WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS ISSUED

The call for the biggest competition in the sphere of photography, the Sony World Photography Awards, was issued, in which professional photographers, as well as amateur ones, from around the world may participate.

Authors may send their photos for free in any of the four competition categories – professional photos, open photos, photos for young photographers (from 12 to 19 years old) and photos for students of photography.

Should there be several candidates from one country, they will automatically qualify for the National Award of the country. Sony World Photography Awards offers numerous benefits to the winners, including: the latest Sony digital equipment, cash prizes for the best works, exhibiting at the Sony World Photography Awards event in London, presenting photographs in the annual publication of the competition etc.

The names of male and female finalists of the competition for the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards will be published on February 28, 2017, the names of winners of the open category and those of the National Awards will be announced on March 28, 2017, while the names of all other winners will become known on April 20, 2017.

The works of finalists and winners will be presented at the exhibition staged at the gallery of Somerset House in London, which will run from April 21 to May 7, 2017.
