CALL FOR “GREEN IDEAS”

28. April 2016.

The Trag Foundation, in partnership with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) and Erste Bank, issues, for the fourth year in a row, the call for applications for the National Forum’s Green Ideas. The aim of the call is to recognize and support the ideas with the greatest potential for sustainability, or for achieving the socio-economic developmental impact on the local community, while preserving natural resources and the environment.

The applicants will be able to submit their ideas by 5 pm on May 2, 2016.

The National Forum for Green Ideas is dedicated to encouraging individuals, organizations and small companies to develop green business ideas, which use local resources and revitalize traditional manufacturing. The projects that can be submitted include those that equally cover all the elements of sustainable development, or those that apart from the financial sustainability, creatively solve economic, social and environmental problems.

Preference will be given to the ideas that rely on local resources, including the employment of local people and the use of their knowledge and skills, but also contain draft business plans, as well as plans for the protection and improvement of the environment.

Eligible to apply are: individuals, associations registered under the Law on Associations, registered agricultural households, small businesses and entrepreneurs with the annual turnover of less than 10,000 euros.

Three ideas rated as the most important ones for introducing important changes at the local level will be rewarded with 5,000 US dollars each.

In addition to the National Forum rewards, all three winning ideas will, in July 2016, participate in the Regional Forum Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) in Serbia, with the possibility of competing for the additional reward of 10,000 US dollars.

The rewarded projects will be further supported through consultations and mentoring, with the aim of becoming competitive and sustainable for a longer period of time.

Project ideas may be submitted through the application form, which can be downloaded on www.tragfondacija.org. Description: https://www.google.com/images/cleardot.gif The filled-in application form is to be e-mailed to zeleneideje@tragfondacija.org by 5 pm on May 2, 2016.
