CALL FOR AWARDING SUBSIDIES EARMARKED FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN 2017 (DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2017)

Belgrade - The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications issued a public call for the allocation of subsidies and grants earmarked for tourism development projects in 2017.

The competition provides for incentives for the construction of infrastructure and supra-structure in tourist destinations, as well as for the projects related to the promotion, education and training in the field of tourism in the Republic of Serbia.

Eligible to use the grants are destination management organizations, companies, and other organizations and institutions established by the government or local self-governments, which are not indirect budget users, as well as legal entities in which the Republic of Serbia is the majority owner and legal entities that manage tourist areas or tourist infrastructure and supra-structure facilities, local self-governments, local tourism organizations and non-governmental organizations that carry out tourism development projects. 

When allocating the funds, the criteria relating to the degree of compliance of the projects with the Tourism Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia shall be applied, as well as those relating to the priority tourism products, tourist areas, adequate management of tourism resources and development processes in the tourism industry and the level of development of specific municipalities.

The request for the use of subsidies and grants is to be mailed to the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Tourism Department, Nemanjina 22-26, Belgrade, or to the Ministry’s administrative office.

The submission deadline is March 31, 2017.
