CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OF THE STANDING CONFERENCE OF TOWNS AND MUNICIPALITIES FOR THE BEST"DIFFERENT FROM OTHER LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENTS" MEDIA REPORTS

As part of the program "Support to Local Self-Governments in Serbia Towards the EU - the Second Phase," which is funded by the Government of Sweden, the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities – the Association of Towns and Municipalities of Serbia (SCTM), issued, this year, too, a call for the best media report on the practice in local self-governments that is entitled "Different from Other Local Self-Governments," which is open for reporters of the local, regional and national media from April 15 until October 15, 2018.

The themes of the call are: EU integration, environmental protection, improvement of the business environment, prevention and management of emergency situations, as well as gender equality and human rights at the local level.

By issuing this call, the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities seeks to highlight the importance and role of local authorities in these areas, with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to the citizens.

A total of five awards will be given during the competition, while the authors of the best reports will be awarded laptop computers.

The assessment of the best media reports will be made by an independent jury of experienced editors of the leading newspapers in the Republic of Serbia.

Media reports should be e-mailed to the Information Office of the SCTM, to zeljko.krnetic@skgo.org and milos.obradovic@skgo.org , or mailed to the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities - the Information Office, Makedonska 22/VIII, 11000 Belgrade, indicating - Media call "Different from Other Local Self-Governments".
