BUJANOVAC TEACHERS AND STUDENTS AGAINST VIOLENCE

Bujanovac – By carrying banners with various messages, students of the “Branko Radicevic” primary school in Bujanovac, members of the Students' Parliament and of the Bujanovac-based Association of Teachers (BAT) organized, yesterday, the “Violence Has No Excuse” event in front of the Bujanovac community center.

“In this way we want to prevent possible violence. We believe that action should be taken while there is time, before violence is committed, "said Marija Balaneskovic, a 5th grade student and one of the participants in yesterday's event.

Tatjana Jovic, a spokeswoman for the BAT, said that the BAT had organized the event on its own initiative, for the purpose of raising awareness about the importance of struggling against all forms of violence.

“By the appropriate messages about violence, which are written on the banners, we intend to have an impact on the minds of the people in our city and to show the importance of the issue in society,” the spokeswoman said.

Participants in the event handed out slips of paper with messages about non-violence to the passers-by in Karadjordje Sq.
