BUJANOVAC SPA: FREE FOR PENSIONERS

28. March 2018.

Bujanovac –The special hospital for rehabilitation in Bujanovac Spa is one of the 24 spas in Serbia where pensioners can be medically treated at the expense of the Republican Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (PDIF).

As announced by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, pensioners whose incomes are up to the amount of the average pension, or up to 24,980 dinars, may apply for a free stay at one of the health resorts. Another requirement is that they did not use that kind of financial assistance over the past five years. Priority will be given to those with lower incomes and to those who have been retired for a longer time.

The ranking lists will be posted at the municipal associations of pensioners, where the requests are to be submitted.

Zoran Djordjevic, Minister for Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, stated that 14 thousand pensioners would be able to benefit from the free recovery at some of the 24 spas in Serbia.

Over 420 million dinars were earmarked for that purpose, as well as for improving the pensioners’ living standard.
