AWARDS GIVEN TO BEST NURSES

Vranje - On the occasion of the Nurse Day, which is marked on May 12, the Association of Healthcare Workers of the Pcinj district awarded five sliver badges in Vranje. 

This year, the awards were given to Sladjana Georgiev and Vesna Momcilovic from the health center in Vranje, Zorica Jovicic from the health center in Bujanovac, Teuta Haziri from the health center in  Presevo ​​and to Sladjana Djordjevic from the health center in  Vladicin Han.  The award was also won by Slobodan Stamenkovic, MD, from the neuropsychiatric ward in Vranje, as well as by the medical technician Petar Bojkovic.

Dragan Cvetkovic, the Head of the Association, said that the aforementioned awards were given in the Pcinj district for the fifth year in a row.

“Healthcare in Serbia mostly depends on well-trained and educated nurses. The profession of a  nurse is a unique one, since one has to be humane and dedicated to it, " Mr.Cvetkovic said.

Teuta Haziri from the Presevo health center said that the given award would encourage her to work even more and better in the future. 

“I’ve been working as a nurse for seven years. I didn’t expect that I would get the award. It means a lot to me that I got it at the beginning of my career. I’m thankful to my colleagues for supporting me, "said Ms. Haziri.



The Association of Healthcare Workers of the Pcinj district has 880 members.  The winners of the silver badge can compete for the greatest award, the golden badge, which is awarded by the Association at the republican level.
