AS OF JUNE 2016, COUNTERS FALL INTO OBLIVION

12. April 2016.

This year's enrollment of children in kindergartens in Serbia will, probably, be the last one when the preschool institutions’ officials will seek from parents all the documents on paper. The documents should be provided electronically next year, so that parents will finally be freed from providing a large number of documents on paper.

This is just one area in which the Law on Administrative Procedure will become effective as of June 8, 2016. The said law envisages that all the documents on which official records are kept, such as birth, marriage, death or nationality certificates, won’t be requested at counters, but will be exchanged among the institutions.

In this way, not only will it be made easier for the citizens, because they will  no longer have to wait in front of the counters to collect all the necessary papers, but they will also be exempt from paying taxes.
