Cameron Munter, the US Ambassador to Serbia, said for the “FoNet” press agency that the US government fully supported the signing of the Agreement on Reconstruction of the Coordination Body for South Serbia.
 
- We think the agreement is an expression of goodwill of the Albanian population and the Serbian government – pointed out Mr. Munter – The agreement is an important step forward, which will make it possible for residents of the region to work in the integrated body, as well as to cooperate.

Thanks to the reconstruction of the Coordination Body, the governmental bodies will also be able solve issues in the filed.
 
He said he hoped that six working groups would be established as soon as possible and that they would begin resolving the problems.
  
When asked if the US Embassy to Serbia would insist on honoring the section of the agreement that refers to inclusion of the Serbs in the governments of Bujanovac and Presevo, Mr. Munter replied affirmatively.
 
- It is necessary for us to work together, so that the needs of the people from the Presevo Valley could be recognized and so that the government could get down to resolving them – he said.
