ALBANIAN STUDENTS ACHIEVE REMARKABLE SUCCESS

10. September 2011.

This year, the third generation of students enrolled in the Medvedja-based departments of Nis University’s Faculties of Economy and Law, among whom Albanian students, on the average, make up around 25 per cent of the students whose studying is funded from the  budget of the Republic of Serbia.

Thanks to their knowledge, Albanian students enrolled on the courses run during all three years as students whose studying is funded from the budget of the Republic of Serbia. Top-quality simultaneous interpretation of the classes is provided every year, while  professors of Nis Faculty of Law put maximum effort into making the methodological units they teach as clear as possible.

The successful professors’ work is proven by the fact that over 70 per cent of the Albanian students enrolled in the third year of studying as students funded from the budget of the Republic of Serbia. They also achieved better marks than a lot of Serbian students.  Every school year, Albanian students receive free Faculty of Economics and Law’s textbooks, which is organized by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja. They are also provided with all the necessary reading materials for quality and easy studying. Work with all the students is done in accordance with the accredited curriculum of the Nis-based Faculty of Law. Following the results reached by the Albanian students, it turns out that the Albanian students achieve remarkable success, whereas some of them insist on not having simultaneous interpretation, but it is still provided.

When taking entrance exams, Albanian students get tests translated into Albanian, so that they are in the same position with other students. At the beginning of this year, the Serbian-Albanian dictionary of legal terms was published in cooperation with the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and Albanian students may use it.  It is a great pleasure for one to say that Albanian students enrolled in  the second and third year of the basic studies, since they had achieved satisfactory results, and they wouldn’t have done it it hadn’t it been for the Nis-based Faculty of Law and the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, which  had put a great deal of effort into enabling the passing of the necessary knowledge to students.
