AGRARIAN CHAMBER OFFERS PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE TO BUJANOVAC FARMERS

1. February 2018.

Bujanovac - Representatives of the Agrarian Chamber of Agricultural Producers of Serbia met at the "Vuk Karadzic" community center in Bujanovac with fifty or so farmers from the municipality of Bujanovac and offered them their professional assistance with overcoming the problems faced by farmers, especially the one relating to submitting applications for national subsidies.

According to Nenad Manic, the President of the Agrarian Chamber, the main objective of those meetings is using the possibilities offered to farmers through government subsidies.

"Increasing production and modernization are the common goals. Only together can we achieve them, while you cannot solve any problems by yourselves. Our experts can provide you assistance with writing projects when applying for subsidies, "Mr. Manic said.

Description: https://www.google.com/images/cleardot.gifHe underscored that the Chamber was in constant touch with the Ministry of Agriculture and that all the problems and proposals for solving them would be directly presented to Branislav Nedimovic, the Minister of Agriculture.

Nenad Ilic, the Head of the Agricultural Chamber’s Office for Providing Professional Services, urged farmers from Bujanovac to apply for subsidies through that organization, because both safety and the checks of applications, which are required before applying, were, thus, guaranteed to them.

“We'll examine the condition of your farm and based on that will make a business plan that will pass all inspections, "Mr. Ilic said.

Representatives of the Agrarian Chamber stressed that young people under 40 and women had priority in all competitions and that it should be taken advantage of.

“We will insist that the relevant people at the ministry make it possible for border areas to procure livestock through national measures, since the increase in the number of registered throats in this area is essential, "Mr. Ilic said.

The meeting was also attended by MP Nenad Mitrovic, as well as by Miodrag Milkovic, the Director of the Veterinary Station, who presented several proposals that should be conveyed to the appropriate people at the Ministry of Agriculture.

“The requirements regarding the number of registered throats should be relaxed, while the entire area of the municipality should be declared to be marginal, so that the requirements would be the same for everyone, and so that the requirement for the purchase of milk would not be 3,000 liters for some people and 1,500 liters for the others,” Mr. Milkovic said.

MP Mitrovic said that the meetings like that one were important for the education of local farmers.

The meeting held at the Bujanovac community center was organized by the Department of Agriculture of the municipality of Bujanovac, in cooperation with Bujanovac farmers.
