ACT: LOCAL ADVOCACY GRANTS (Deadline: July 20, 2020)

The "Together for Active Civil Society” (ACT)) program is designed as a four-year support to civil society organizations (CSOs) in Serbia (2019-2023) through the allocation of grants and the strengthening of their capacities, so that they could  respond more effectively to the challenges of civic activism in Serbia.

The ACT project is implemented by the Swiss non-governmental organization HELVETAS Swiss Inter-Cooperation and the Association of Citizens for Democracy and Civic Education "Civic Initiatives".

The aim of this call is to empower civil society to participate more efficiently and actively in the decision-making process and policy-making through advocacy activities, as well as to mobilize citizens' support and represent their interests in the decision-making process, especially at the local level.

Applications for local advocacy grants can be submitted by the CSOs active in the priority areas of the call:

• Citizen involvement and mobilization

• Monitoring the implementation of laws and policies

• Gender equality and related topics

• Social inclusion and marginalized groups

• Decentralization

• Human and civil rights

• Environmental protection

• Good administration

The application deadline is July 20, 2020.

The amount of individual financial support is up to RSD 1,400,000.
