ABOUT 290 ILLEGAL MIGRANTS WERE FOUND NEAR KIKINDA, WHO WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE RECEPTION CENTER IN PRESEVO

24. December 2020.

Kikinda, Presevo - Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out a campaign for finding illegal migrants in the territory of the Kikinda Police Department, who were placed in the Reception Center in Presevo.

During the campaign, which, in cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration (CRRS), was conducted outside the camps by members of the Kikinda Police Department and the Gendarmerie, about 290 migrants were found in the area of Majdan, Raba and Horgos.

They were transported to the Reception Center in Presevo, where all legal and human rights would be provided to them, as well as medical protection, nutrition and adequate accommodation, it was said in the statement.

Illegal migrants are not in the records of the CRRS and reside outside its care system, most often in abandoned factories, warehouses or houses, in parts of the country that gravitate to the borders with EU member states.
