15 DAYS TO APPLY FOR A FREE TEN-DAY REHABILITATION

Belgrade – Yesterday, the Republican Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of Serbia called on the pensioners to apply for free ten-day rehabilitation at one of the 25 spas in Serbia within 15 days.

Eligible to apply are the pensioners from the category of employees, self-employed and farmers, whose retirement pensions in February 2016 were lower than 23,463 dinars, who don’t have any other personal income and who haven’t stayed at a spa for free at the expense of the Fund over the past five years.

The applications are to be submitted to retirement organizations in the place of residence. Along with the application, you must also submit your pension check for February 2016, the evidence of the amount of pension earned under international agreements (bank statement or certificate of the holder of foreign social insurance), a photocopy of your ID card, your current medical documentation and a written statement.

As for the issue of whether companions of seriously ill patients are entitled to free rehabilitation, the Fund says that only disabled children and family pensioners, who are unable to care for themselves, are entitled to it.

The pensioners who are beneficiaries of disability-related financial support can bring along a companion, and they can do so at their own expense. The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund doesn’t bear the costs of spa treatment, but only provides rehabilitation and recovery of the pensioners who, due to their low retirement pensions, can’t afford it.
