13 SUSPECTS FOR TRAFFICKING IN HUMAN BEINGS ARRESTED

VranjePresevo – The Interior Ministry stated that the police in Vranje kept in custody of up to 48 hours 13 people on suspicion of organizing the transport of illegal migrants.

It is suspected that they, in the period from April 15 to May 23, 2015, organized the transport of 88 illegal migrants from Afghanistan, Syria and Congo, who had illegally crossed the Macedonian-Serbian border.

Because of the suspicion that they committed the continued criminal offense of illegal crossing of the state border and trafficking in human beings, the preliminary proceedings judge of the Basic Court in Vranje ordered the detention of up to 30 days to H.S (18), М.R. (20), F.S. (23) from the Presevo area, to D.S. (27), N.Т. (24), D.I. (60) from Vranje, as well as to М.М. (25) and I.S. (26) from the Vranje area.

D.I, D.T and D.S are charged with having committed the crime of forgery, it was said in the statements.

Seven vehicles, which were used for transporting migrants, were temporarily seized from the suspects.  Five vehicles had forged license plates, while one vehicle had forged engine and chassis numbers.
