10 MILLION DINARS FOR ENCOURAGING AGRICULTURE IN MEDVEDJA

Medvedja – Funds intended for encouraging agriculture and rural development of the municipality of Medvedja were granted at the Medvedja Municipal Assembly hall. In accordance with the 2017 budget, funds amounting to 10 million dinars were allocated for agriculture. Regarding the measure of investing in the physical assets of farms, the return of invested funds is done for the purchase of planting material, livestock, machinery and irrigation equipment, in a total amount of 9,250,000 dinars, while when it comes to the artificial insemination measure, for which the applications are still being received, funds amounting to 750,000 dinars were earmarked.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, and Goran Ivanovic, the Deputy Mayor of Medvedja, handed the contracts over to 120 farm owners from the municipality of Medvedja. The total value of the contracts, which were paid off, is 5.04 million dinars. Funds earmarked for the remaining 130 farmers, which also amount to around 5 million dinars, will be paid out within the next portion of financing. 

The handed out contracts are part of the measures of investing in physical assets under the program for encouraging the development of agricultural policy and rural development of the municipality of Medvedja in accordance with the budget for 2017.
