Education

One of the strategic priorities of the Coordination Body is to improve the quality and accessibility of education in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja. Therefore, the Coordination Body, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Albanian National Council, the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Mevedja and the international organizations, organizes a number of projects and activities aimed at improving the conditions for the efficient and quality education for all communities living in South Serbia.

The range of joint activities include infrastructure improvements in pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, free school supplies to first graders, monitoring and assistance in providing textbooks for teaching in the Albanian language, scholarships for secondary school students, scholarships for young people from Presevo and Bujanovac to study at the University of Novi Sad, improving the quality of learning of the  Serbian language in primary schools, providing opportunities for learning Serbian for the the youth from the Albanian community through the "School of the Serbian Language", enabling a smooth operation and development of the Law and Economics Departments of the University of Nis in Medvedja, as well as of Subotica Faculty of Economics’ Department in Bujanovac.
