WORLD BOOK DAY MARKED IN BUJANOVAC

Bujanovac – On the occasion of April 23, the World Book Day, the Bujanovac library organized a show at the Bujanovac community center.

In addition to children from the “Our Joy” preschool institution and Bujanovac primary and secondary school students, the large audience of the show included representatives of the local self-government, associations and citizens of Bujanovac, who were mostly parents.

Lidija Trajkovic, the Director of the library, opened the event by stressing the importance of books and the written word.

Preschoolers, who danced to the “Hello” song of the poet Jova Jovanovic Zmaj, were the first to appear before the audience.

A great recital was given by Bujanovac primary and secondary school students, as well as by students of the Bujanovac music school.

The Bujanovac amateur theatre performed “The Bridge” play, while school principals, the Director of the community center and representatives of the local self-government were given letters of thanks at the end of the event.

During the day, members of the “Duturia” association donated books to the passers-by in the Bujanovac pedestrian zone.
