VOLUNTEERS FROM BUJANOVAC WILL BE DELIVERING TEACHING MATERIALS TO STUDENTS WITHOUT THE INTERNET

3. December 2020.

Bujanovac - Students of the "St. Sava" secondary school in Bujanovac, who due to the fact that there is no Internet in the rural areas where they live, cannot follow online classes, will be receiving teaching materials through volunteers of the Bujanovac Red Cross branch office.

“Teaching materials, along with the school assignments, will be printed for these children and delivered to them by Red Cross volunteers. Upon doing the school assignments, the children will send them back to the school, also through the volunteers, "the school director Biserka Jovic said for the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation.

The problem of students from the rural areas had been mentioned before the complete switch to online classes was announced.

School Director Jovic underscored then that the non-coverage by the Internet of certain areas in which students live was the biggest challenge that the school faced in conducting distance learning from the very beginning of the epidemic.

She pointed out that those were only sporadic cases and that, in general, online classes were conducted smoothly.
