UNDP: CALL FOR SUBMITTING PROJECT PROPOSALS

As part of the project "Enhancement of Municipal Audit for Accountability and Efficiency in Public Finance Management”,  the United Nations Development Program issued a call for project proposals for civil society organizations in improving cooperation between local self-governments , the civil sector and the media.

The aim of the call is to contribute to mutual understanding and recognition of the common objective of these players, as well as to the opening of a constructive dialogue for the purpose of having closer cooperation. 

Project proposals should include a minimum of five municipalities (recommended 10 to 20 ones) and ensure the participation in the activities of representatives of the local self-governments, civil society organizations and local media at the local and national levels.  Representatives of municipal assemblies, public utilities and other important institutions at the local or regional level may also be included. The projects must include the component of strengthening the capacity for responsible management of public finances, and may also cover other activities that contribute to the joint activities of civil society and local self-governments. The projects must ensure visibility in the media of activities or results of the activities at the local, regional or national level.

Eligible to apply are all civil society organizations that have experience in cooperating with state and civil stakeholders at the local level and /or those operating in the sphere of ​​public finances.

It is necessary to prove in the application the capacity of organizations to work with the relevant target groups of the project.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is Thursday, July 14, 2016.
