TWENTY-SEVEN RESIDENTS OF MEDVEDJA TO BE TEMPORARILY EMPLOYED

Medvedja – Twenty-seven residents of Medvedja will be temporarily hired for public works, while their earnings, which total around two million dinars, will be financed by the local self-government and the National Employment Office (NEO).

11 persons will be hired for doing maintenance and environmental protection – related jobs at the Directorate for Planning and Construction, 5 persons will be engaged for providing assistance to and taking care of the elderly and socially disadvantaged persons at the local health center, while 11 persons will be taken by the special hospital for rehabilitation in Sijarinska Spa for the restoration of the protective zone around thermal springs.    

“The municipality of Medvedja shall, in the period to come, make every effort and push for providing employment  to unemployed persons registered with the NEO, while next year, we will try to earmark in  the program budget a larger amount of money for these purposes, "said Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, on the occasion of signing contracts.

Mainly engaged were people from the category of hard to employ persons, or people with disabilities and those from socially disadvantaged families.

Contracts were signed by representatives of the NEO, the Directorate for Planning and Construction, the Health Center in Medvedja and the special hospital for rehabilitation "Geyser" in Sijrarinska Spa.
