The Resource Center for Civil Society Organizations in Serbia issued a call for training "Civic Oversight of Public Finance," which will be run by representatives of the Becej Youth Association.

The training will last for two days and will be held from November 19 to 21, 2019 at Mecavnik.

The aim of the training is to empower civil society organizations to monitor and participate in the local budget process.

The training provides basic knowledge of public finances, the budget process and access to information of public importance, and will be run by trainers from the Becej Youth Association, who have years of experience in the field of public finance monitoring at the local level.

If you want to:

  • Get to know the local public finance system,
  • Gain practical knowledge of free access to information of public importance,
  • Become familiar with the functioning of local self-governments’ budgets in practice,
  • Learn how to monitor local budget execution, then

this is the right training for you!

You can apply to participate in the training by filling in the application form, which is available on , by November 14, 2019.

Up to 15 representatives of civil society organizations (one from each selected) are expected to attend the training.

The training organizer covers the costs of transportation and accommodation. Transportation money is refunded in the amount of the return ticket upon delivery of the original return ticket, or in the amount of the ticket cost upon delivery of the confirmation from the bus station.
