THREE "QUALITY OSCARS" AWARDED TO MEDVEDJA

14. November 2018.

Medvedja – At a ceremony held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which is part of the 27th Forum of Quality and Business Excellence in 2018 event, the municipality of Medvedja received three "Quality Oscar" awards granted by the Foundation for Quality Culture and Business Excellence - FQCE.

Among the many municipalities and cities that competed for the prestigious award, Medvedja  won three excellence awards in the areas of leadership, human resources and attitude towards  society.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, along with members of his team, who had worked hard on improving the quality of work of the municipal administration of Medvedja, attended the “Quality Oscar 2018” awards ceremony.

On the occasion of awarding the recognitions, Aleksandar Starcevic, Deputy Economy Minister, pointed out that the municipality of Medvedja was a true example of how a small municipality struggled to achieve the standards for improving the quality of products and services provided to its customers.

The Mayor underscored that the only feeling that overwhelmed him was the feeling of pride in his associates and his team, as well as in all the inhabitants of Medvedja, to whom he dedicated the award.

"A proud municipality in southern Serbia, where its locals build roads from semiprecious stones,  which is rich in mineral waters and which has more than a ton of gold that lies in the tailings. Despite its natural wealth, people are our greatest treasure. The honorable people of Gornja Jablanica deserved such recognition because of their hospitality and courtesy“, Mayor Arsic said.

The awarding of Oscars for quality is an extremely important event and is the culmination of all the evaluation activities for improving the quality of work in the real and the private sector in the course of one year.

An expert jury, which was composed of representatives from the government and scientific and professional organizations, evaluated the results based on nine criteria: leadership, strategy and policy, human resources, partnerships and resources, followed by processes, products and services, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, attitude towards society and operating results.
