THE METHODOLOGY OF THE "ROMACTED" PROJECT PRESENTED IN VRANJE

Vranje – The city of Vranje is one of 11 cities in Serbia where the Romacted program, which is supported by the European Union, the Council of Europe and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, is implemented.  

On that occasion, a meeting was held in Vranje at which the methodology of the project was presented.

“The local self-government is open to any kind of cooperation, and our priority is to raise  partnership with the Roma community to a higher level," Dejan Ivanovic, the city councilor, said in his address.  

Tereza Sainovic and Dejan Bajramovic, the project facilitators, also spoke at the meeting.  

The objectives of the project are to strengthen political will and to support the local development through capacity building of the local authorities and effective participation of Roma in the local plans and projects, to empower the Roma community, both at the individual and the collective level, and to strengthen the commitment of institutions and their capacity for the inclusion of Roma.
