20. March 2018.

Bujanovac – On Monday, Petar Jovanovic from Belgrade, who comes from the renowned Karakan family from Bujanovac, donated 10 laptops and 5 PCs to the "Saint Sava" secondary vocational school in Bujanovac.

Biserka Jovic, the School Principal, thanked the donor for the gift, which includes the installed “Windows 7” program and which is important for the school, the students and the teachers.

Mr. Jovanovic said that the activity would, most probably, be undertaken again on St. Peter's Day, when, according to what he had promised, new equipment would be delivered to the local community of Krsevica.

According to Svetislav Velickovic, a teacher, who promoted the campaign and who used to be a teacher at the “Saint Sava” school, and in agreement with Stojanca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, the Information Center should be established at the village.

"The main goal of the center will be to promote the tourist potential of the municipality of Bujanovac. I, primarily, have in mind the proximity of the Prohor Pcinjski monastery and the Kale archaeological site in Krsevica, "Mr. Velickovic said.

In addition to the “Saint Sava” secondary school, Mr. Jovanovic donated the computer equipment to the "Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic" primary school in the village of Levosoje and to the Department of the Municipal Public Prosecutor's Office in Bujanovac.

The school in the village of Levosoje received two personal and laptop computers, while the Basic Prosecutor's Office got two computers.

The handover of gifts event was, among others, attended by Stojanca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac.
