3. April 2020.

Belgrade - The Government of the Republic of Serbia has made the decision that the bodies and organizations, as well as other legal entities that raise the flag, were to put the national flag of the Republic of Serbia at half-mast during the state of emergency and epidemic declared due to the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In accordance with the legal provisions, the coat of arms and the flag of the Republic of Serbia must not be used if they are damaged or are unfit for use, but are to be withdrawn from use.

In particular, during the state of emergency and epidemic declared due to the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 virus, which results in the death or serious damage to the health of a large number of citizens of the Republic of Serbia, the bodies, organizations and other legal entities that raise the flag should pay particular attention to its appearance, in order to pay a dignified homage to the citizens of Serbia who died of the COVID-19 virus.

Accordingly, a recommendation was made to all bodies and organizations, as well as to other legal entities, in the territory of South Serbia that raise the flag to act on this decision.
