THE GOVERNMENT OF SERBIA’S PROGRAM TO SUPPORT START-UPS IS TO BE LAUNCHED SOON

13. September 2019.

Belgrade-  The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC) President Marko Cadez said it was important to pair young innovative companies with the big industry, and announced that the Serbian Government's program to support start-ups would soon begin.

Mr. Cadez said in a statement given to TV Prva that the state of Serbia had provided a good program of support for companies that are engaged in innovations, primarily start-ups, but also for those that already existed.

“The Government of Serbia’s program for supporting business start-ups and those beginning their careers is about to start. There are already programs under the Ministry of Economy and the Serbian Development Agency that companies can use, " Mr. Cadez said, urging all those with the ideas to come to the SCC to get assistance.

When asked when Serbia would start providing capital to young companies, Mr. Cadez said that something similar already existed, bearing in mind that the science and technology park contained the so-called business and start-up incubator, under which "phenomenal young companies" operated.

"What is important is to bring young innovative companies together with the large industry. They need new solutions, "Mr. Cadez said.
