THE DEADLINE FOR VAT REFUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF BABY FOOD AND EQUIPMENT IS JULY 15

Presevo, Bujanovac, Мedvedja - The deadline for submitting a request for a VAT refund for the purchase of baby food and equipment is July 15, the Tax Administration stated.

The right to a VAT refund for the purchase of baby food and equipment is valid for the children born as of June 30, 2018, who are up to two years old, and is exercised in accordance with Article 56b of the Law on Value Added Tax.

The competent organizational unit of the Tax Administration will, in the period from July 1 to 15, 2020, in accordance with its authorizations, receive the requests for a VAT refund for the purchase of baby food and equipment. "Upon conducting the procedure for overseeing the fulfillment of requirements for exercising the right to VAT refund, the competent organizational unit of the Tax Administration is obliged to decide on the request within 30 days from the day of submitting the request," the Tax Administration said. The decision on determining the right to a VAT refund or on rejecting the request for a VAT refund, shall be delivered to the applicant, it was said in the statement.
