TALKS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SIJARINSKA SPA TOO

Medvedja - The President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Zoran Stankovic, held talks yesterday with the President of the Interim Body of the municipality of Medvedja Nebojsa Arsic on the development of economic and tourist potential of the municipality, including Sijarinska Spa, too.

Mr. Stankovic said that that the governmental Coordination Body asked the Interim Body of the Municipality of Medvedja to submit to it their concrete proposals on what should be done in the municipality.

“So far, we haven’t received any letters or ideas from the Interim Body. We turned the attention of the Interim Body to the fact that they need to have concrete proposals, so that we, together with the relevant governmental bodies, could try to fulfill their needs", Mr. Stankovic said.

Mr. Stankovic said that the paving of the road to the Mucibabe crossing on the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija, which had become extremely busy, was also discussed. Mr. Stankovic talked with representatives of the Interim Body also about the issue of students enrolling in the first year of studies at the satellite Department of the Faculties of Economics and Law in Medvedja, noting that the students, who had begun to study in Medvedja, had to finish their studies there.

Mr. Stankovic, who also visited Sijarinska Spa, said that the aim of the visit was to see what was necessary to be done in order to put all the facilities of the the spa into operation after the damage caused by last year's floods and landslides.
