SUPPORT PROVIDED TO AGRICULTURE AND PRODUCTION

Medvedja - Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Vidosava Dzagic, said that the Government of the Republic of Serbia, through the Office of the Coordination Body of the  Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, would financially assist the three municipalities with forty million dinars.

“The project has two parts, support provided to agriculture and support provided to production, whereas the ultimate goal is to increase employment in the three municipalities, "said Ms.Dzagic.

She added that the projects would take three years and that, thereafter, the analysis of their successfulness would be conducted, whereas the deciding factor would be the number of employees.   
 
Thanks to the organization of the Coordination Body’s Office, and in cooperation with the three municipalities and the Local Economic Development Offices, representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce met with businessmen in the three municipalities and analyzed the economic potentials and needs. “According to the earlier adopted procedure, 17 million dinars will be available to the businessmen of Bujanovac, 15 million dinars to those in Presevo and 8 million dinars to those in Medvedja,” Ms. Dzagic said.

Yesterday, she presented to the owners of small businesses in Medvedja the program for allocating the funds for subsidizing private companies in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in 2012, which was announced by the Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.  
 
The largest amount for which one may apply is four million dinars for production and three million dinars for agricultural activities.  
On Tuesday, the businessmen from the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo had the opportunity to attend a presentation of the program.  
Deputy Director of the Coordination Body’s Office, Jelena Colic, said that the motive of that body to launch such a project was increased employment in the three municipalities in South Serbia.
