STREET ACTIVITY IN BUJANOVAC

As part of the project “I like Bujanovac”, which was supported by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the Center for Tolerance and Integration of South Serbia organized a four- hour street activity on July 19, 2010. Within this activity, a multiethnic group of members of the said organization handed leaflets out to the residents of Bujanovac by which the young of all ethnic backgrounds were encouraged to get involved in promotion of their municipality. The leaflets were printed in Serbian, Albanian and Romany.
  
The motto of the activity was “You, too, should get involved in multi-ethnic and cultural activities, get engaged in the “I Like Bujanovac” project, which is aimed at encouraging the young of all ethnic communities to become active and to promote the municipality of Bujanovac.  

The activity continued on July 20, 2010, with the putting up of placards.  The Center for Tolerance and Integration of South Serbia will have a meeting with the young of Bujanovac next weekend. This organization established the “I like Bujanovac” group on Face book. The group has 763 members, who get informed about the activities of this project through Face book.
