Bujanovac While the President of the Municipality of Bujanovac, Nagip Arifi, is checking the contract by which the job of removing stray dogs from the streets was given to the Veterinary Station Bujanovac, the number of dogs on the streets of the city is growing again, and the citizens are reporting attacks.

Mr. Arifi announced the checkup of the contract to the Director of the Veterinary Station Bujanovac, Miodrag Milkovic, who says that the workers of the Veterinary Station cannot do their job without the presence of the municipal inspection.

“Someone should order the municipal inspection to take action with our workers. The last time we removed the dogs was in Veliki Trnovac on July 15.  Since then, there have been no orders from the local self-government, I guess because of that announced checkup ", Mr. Milkovic says.

He emphasized that continuity was very important in that business.

“We had a bad situation when we started working again after a long break in 2019, but the situation really improved. However, now we have a standstill again and a new increase in the number of dogs on the streets, "he says.

Bringing dogs by trucks from other municipalities has never stopped, he adds.

"We would catch dogs with chips from Jagodina, Nis and Aleksinac," Mr. Milkovic points out.

The contract between the Municipal Administration and the Veterinary Station Bujanovac was signed in April last year and it would be valid until March 2021.
