STRANGERS FROM SOUTH: JAZZ, A LANGUAGE THAT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS

Bujanovac – The “Strangers from South” band from Bujanovac has been performing at the “Nisville” jazz festival for four years, while, this year, it had one of most prominent performances there. The "Strangers from South" band was established on the basis of the project "Jazz-A Multi-Cultural Term", which was implemented by the Nisvile Foundation. During the establishment of the band, a fusion was made with the orchestra of the Bujanovac amateur theater:

The mission of the band is to prove that multi-ethnic make-up can survive and function in this region because a boundless love for music keeps us together, "said Djordje Stojiljkovic, a bass player, who is the oldest member of the band.

Apart from Mr. Stojiljkovic, members of the band are Milos Stojmenov, keyboards, Senidor Ismaili, drums, Nikola Zdravkov, guitar and vocals, Angela Dukadinovic, Jovana Manasijevic, Enisa Imeri and Cendresa Redzepi. Following a break, Sladjan Stajic, who also plays the guitar, returned to the band.  The bend is led by Vitomir Janjic, a music teacher. .
