13. February 2018.

Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja - The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs submitted to the Commission for the Control of State Financial Assistance a request for approving state funds to subsidize private employers whose employees would be involved in gaining additional knowledge and skills, with the aim of reducing unemployment and securing the existing jobs, as well as providing employers with the required personnel that is not available in Serbia.

Namely, under the Law on Employment and Unemployment Insurance, the Ministry adopted the regulations on detailed criteria and requirements for including the employees in training for the purpose of gaining additional knowledge and skills, for which 396 million dinars would be necessary this year, while it is estimated that between 11 and 50 employers would receive the subsidies.

State funds for the implementation of the training are determined for each and every beneficiary, as much as 25 percent of the justified costs for specific training and up to 60 percent of justified costs for general training.

The funds are awarded with the aim of involving employees in the training for the needs of their employers, so that they could gain additional knowledge and skills necessary for improving their competencies, acquire the knowledge, abilities and skills that they lack, which are not transferable or are largely transferable to other businesses or activities.
