19. February 2014.

With the support of the British Embassy in Serbia, the Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja organizes additional classes in the Serbian language for primary school students at the village of Biljaca, which is situated in the municipality of Bujanovac.

Serbian language classes are attended twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, by students from the fifth to the eighth grade. Last December, the Coordination Body’s Office organized the testing of students who had expressed an interest in improving their Serbian. Based on the test results, two groups of students were set up, the group consisting of students of the fifth and sixth grade and the group consisting of students attending the seventh and eighth grade.

Two teachers of the Serbian language, along with a teaching assistant from the Albanian community, work with those students. Over 70 primary school students eagerly attend Serbian language classes, which are organized at the village of Biljaca. Thanks to their interest in and dedication to learning the Serbian language, they are improving their Serbian language skills.

Serbian language classes will be held until the end of April 2014.
