SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 60 SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM MEDVEDJA

21. December 2020.

Мedvedja - The winners of the scholarships granted by the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja were given the contracts, under which they would each be receiving 6,000 dinars per month until the end of the 2020/2021 school year.

The contracts were handed out to the most successful secondary school students from Medvedja by Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body, and by Nebojsa Arsic, the President of the Municipality of Medvedja.

“All those who have achieved success through schooling deserve to get a scholarship, as a further incentive to learning. I hope that the help provided through scholarships will enable you to fulfill everything you have planned. You are already well on your way to reaching the heights you have set. Both the parents and the teachers are responsible for the success of the children," Mr. Stankovic said.

Due to the current situation with the corona virus, the scholarship awarding event was organized with a smaller number of secondary school students, while the President of the Municipality of Medvedja said that the Coordination Body had previously helped first graders by providing school supplies for them.

"I congratulate the students on the received scholarships, and wish that in the future, when you are enrolled in the faculties, you represent Medvedja in the best possible way. I believe that these scholarships will be an even greater incentive and motivation to you during your further education and that you will justify our expectations and be even better next year. All young people who complete their studies will be welcome, and although it is not an easy task, we will find a way to hire them, "Mr. Arsic said

The scholarships will be paid for 4 months, for those from September to December. When it comes to next year, if the funds are provided in the budget for 2021, the scholarships will be paid continuously until the end of the school year.
