Bujanovac - Residents of the municipality of Bujanovac, whose households were damaged by the floods, will be able to report the damage caused by the floods as of Wednesday, January 13.

At the session held yesterday, the Emergency Situations Staff issued an order to the Commission for the assessment of the damage caused by the floods to start operating.

The applying will be done through the form that the citizens can obtain in the offices of the Emergency Situations Staff, which are located in the building of the Municipality of Bujanovac.

The deadline for submitting the application form is 30 days.

It was said at the session that it would be possible to report the damage caused both to the facilities and agricultural land.

There was a discussion among  members of the Staff about the requirements for compensation, or whether the flooded basements and other non-residential auxiliary facilities would be taken into account, as well as whether the damage to illegally built facilities should be compensated. However, the final requirements will be determined in the coming days.

The President of the Municipal Assembly, Enver Ramadani, assessed that there were many citizens who had suffered damage and that they needed help as soon as possible.

“This morning, we saw a large number of locals in the building of the Municipal Administration who had come to report the damage. We need to react quickly", Mr. Ramadani said.
