REGISTRATION FOR THE "PRAĆKA" (SLINGSHOT) CONFERENCE

27. November 2015.

Do journalists attend your events less frequently than you would like them to?

Does it often happen that the media don’t publish your press releases?

Does your community have difficulty with using “like” and “share” on social networks?

Do people outside the civil sector often ask you what is it that you actually do?

Do you find it difficult to explain to the citizens what services your organization provides?

If the answer to any of these questions is "YES" – then it's time for you to learn how to use  PRacka (a slingshot)! TASCO Resource Center of the Civic Initiatives, along with “Serbia on the Move”, as its implementation partner, organizes the “PRacka” (slingshot) conference for the second time this year.  The organizers of the conference were inspired by the story of David and Goliath and they wishes to draw attention to the fact that and wishes to draw attention to the fact that when we are faced with "major problems", it’s sufficient to have "small, but deadly weapon”.

The conference will be organized at the Belgrade-based Startit Center (2, Savska St) on December 10 and 11, 2015.

The second “PRacka” (slingshot) conference will focus on attracting the creative and top-quality techniques for the purpose of increasing your visibility and the weapons in our hands used for fighting against the insufficient visibility of our work.

During the two-day conference, we will present to you the current global trends and the examples of good practice in our country, for the purpose of conveying to you the necessary knowledge and skills, so that we could, through the exchange of experiences, reach the model of making our work more visible and recognized in the communities from which we come.

Participants in the conference will include representatives of civil society organizations from all over Serbia who are interested in the field of communication and visibility.

After the conference, TACSO Resource Center of the Civic Initiatives, along with its partners, will continue strengthening the capacity of organizations that have expressed their need for support during their campaigns.  We will also, in the coming year, help promote, through the available channels, the success stories of organizations that are interested in this.

The expenses of traveling to Belgrade shall be borne by the organizer of the conference. Accommodation on December 10, 2015, will be provided to the participants coming from the places that are more than 200 km away from Belgrade.

The seats for participating in the conference are limited, so we encourage all those who are interested to sign up as early as possible. Should a larger number of participants sign up, the selection will be done based on the organizations’ territorial and thematic areas of activity. You are kindly asked to sign up only one person from your organization.

Signing up is done by filling in the application form, which is available at https://djurdjadj.typeform.com/to/zYHSKP . The deadline for signing up is November 30, 2015.
