RED CROSS BRANCH OFFICE IN BUJANOVAC AND TOBACCO INDUSTRY OF BUJANOVAC PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO HEALTH CENTER

Bujanovac - The Bujanovac Red Cross Branch Office and the Tobacco Industry of Bujanovac donated two UV sterilizers to the Health Center in Bujanovac, which the Director of the said institution, Dr. Lela Jovanovic, said would greatly affect the protection of the Health Center’s medical staff.

“One lamp with ultra-violet radiation will be placed in the Emergency Room, while the other one will be located in the COVID surgery. These are modern devices that cover 50 square meters and perform sterilization every 15 minutes. Those devices are very important to us, as well as for the protection of our staff, and I, on behalf of the team and on my own behalf, thank Bogoljub Tomic, the Director of the Tobacco Industry of Bujanovac, and Bratislav Lazarevic, the Secretary of the Red Cross Branch Office in Bujanovac," Dr. Lela Jovanovic said.

According to Mr. Lazarević, the initiative for equipping the Health Center with UV sterilizers was launched by Dr. Nebojsa Krstic, the doctor in the Emergency Room.

“It should be said that this is the idea of Dr. Krstic, which we supported and realized. We planned to provide one device, but Director Jovanovic suggested that two devices were needed, so that the KOVID surgery could be covered as well. Dr. Krstic also enabled us to contact the manufacturer of the devices, which greatly facilitated the procurement and accelerated the realization, "Mr. Lazarevic said.

Dr. Jovanovic underscored that the health center, for the time being, had optimal quantities of all types of protective equipment against COVID-19 at its disposal.
