RADIOLOGISTS AND MATHEMATICIANS SOUGHT AFTER THE MOST

4. May 2015.

Vranje The most sought after specialists on the labor market in Pcinj district include doctors - radiologists, as well as professors of mathematics, music and history.

The employees of the National Employment Office in Vranje said that there hadn’t been any  radiologists or teachers of history and music in the records of the unemployed for as many as two years.

“Math teachers do emerge but they aren’t in the records of the unemployed for long, as they’re soon engaged in school for a definite or indefinite period of time. The same goes for teachers of music”, said the competent persons.

Darko Jankovic, the Director of the NEO branch office in Vranje, says that among the unemployed, one third were functionally unskilled persons who had primary school education or less than that.

“A large number of young people under 30 are jobless. It is obvious that it is necessary to organize re-training courses for the unemployed, through the guiding of young people to the professions that are in demand on the labor market, "said Mr. Jankovic.

Substantial resources to fund the programs and subsidies aimed at job creation in the private sector were set aside this year.

"I use this opportunity to invite the employers to co-operate, so that the number of employees could increase," said Mr. Jankovic.
