PUBLIC CALL TO LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENTS TO SUBMIT PROJECT PROPOSALS FOR SOCIAL HOUSING AND ACTIVE INCLUSION OF VULNERABLE GROUPS (DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1, 2021)
As part of the program "EU Support to Social Housing and Active Inclusion", the European Union and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) issued a public call to local self-governmental units to submit proposals for projects on supporting social housing and active inclusion.
The goal of the public call is to provide housing support to 500 families with at least 1,500 members in 20 local self-governments in a sustainable and responsible way, through the construction of multi-family buildings and family houses and the purchase, reconstruction and adaptation of apartments and houses.
Apart from housing solutions, accompanying active inclusion measures for 1,000 beneficiaries are obligatory, which include support in the fields of education, improvement of employability, self-employment and access to various social protection services.
All local self-governmental units in the Republic of Serbia have the right to participate in the call.
The indicative budget of the public call is EUR 14.2 million.
The deadline for submitting project proposals is February 1, 2021 at 5 pm.
All information on the public call and application documents are available on the website of the “EU Support to Social Housing and Active Inclusion” program (https://social-housing.euzatebe.rs/rs/konkursi).
Project proposals are to be submitted electronically, while detailed instructions on the submission of project proposals are available in the document EUSHAI_CfP_Guidelines for Applicants.
All interested local self-governments will be able to get answers to their questions on the public call during online information sessions that will be organized at the following times:
• Monday, December 7, 2020, at 11 am
• Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 11 am
• Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 11 am
• Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 11 am
• Friday, December 11, 2020, at 11 am

The public call is issued as part of the program "European Union Support to Social Housing and Active Inclusion", for which the European Union has earmarked 27 million euros. The program is implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in partnership with the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs, and in cooperation with the Ministry of European Integration.
