PUBLIC CALL FOR THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS IN 2020 TO SUPPORT PROJECTS OF ASSOCIATIONS IN THE FIELD OF ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN FROM THE CATEGORY OF SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES (DEADLINE: JUNE 5, 2020)

The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs has issued a call for the allocation of funds in 2020 to support projects of associations in the field of economic empowerment of women from the category of single-parent families. The projects are to be implemented by associations as voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit organizations in the areas of public interest.

The aim of the call is to improve the economic position and status of women from the category of single-parent families through improved conditions for reconciling their business and private life, to raise educational, professional and other competencies for employment or for starting their own businesses, to provide social support in child care, to provide services for caring for children of different ages or scholarships for their children's education and training.

Women from the category of single-parent families belong to one of the most vulnerable social groups in terms of equal opportunities and the opportunities to reconcile their private and business life. Women from the single-parent family category also need additional social attention and support in order to overcome gender stereotypes, improve their level of education, professional knowledge and skills, and ensure their sustainable employment or empowerment to start their own businesses. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to devise new forms of providing social services in terms of caring for their children.

Detailed information on how to implement the said topic is given in the Guidelines for Applicants, which are an integral part of the public call.

Funds for the call amount to 2,100,000.00 dinars, while the maximum sum that can be claimed for one proposed project amounts to 300,000.00 dinars.

The expected time for implementing the selected projects is from August 17, 2020 to January 17, 2021.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 5, 2020 at the latest.

Note: The associations that have submitted documentation for the call in accordance with the previously issued call, which was annulled due to the declaration of the state of emergency, can apply with the same project proposals. It is necessary to correct in the documentation the dates of the implementation of project activities, as well as the amount of the funds requested. Such documentation should be submitted to the address of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs or to the Records Office of Republican Bodies, Nemanjina 22-26, 11000 Belgrade.
