17. July 2019.

The project Platform for Responsible Management of Public Finances, which is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Serbia, and financed by the Government of Sweden (SIDA), will focus on strengthening the partnership between the local self-governmental units (LSUs) and civil society through building a more transparent approach to funding civil society organizations (CSOs) from LSU budget, in accordance with local needs.

The project will also contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Development Agenda for 2030. The goals of sustainable development represent a universal call for action to eradicate poverty, protect the environment and ensure peace and prosperity for all.

Local self-governmental units are invited to apply for the participation in the project.  In total, five (5) local self-governmental units will be selected and support will be provided to them regarding the development of more transparent mechanisms for allocating funds for financing CSO projects. 66,000 USD of donor funds have been provided for each selected local self-governmental unit, including mandatory co-financing by the municipality or city (see the Guidelines for more details).
