PRESS RELEASE - 07.06.2013.

7. June 2013.

When it comes to the rights of national minorities, including the Albanian minority as well, the Republic of Serbia respects the Constitution, the laws and all international conventions, said Zoran Stankovic, President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

"The Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Coordination Body are fully committed to addressing the legitimate concerns of the citizens of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and those problems were, over the past few months, presented by representatives of the Albanian political parties. We expect to continue talks with the Albanians from South Serbia, after the Government of the Republic of Serbia, on Tuesday,  June 4,  adopted the topics for the future talks, which were proposed by the Albanian representatives themselves", said Mr. Stankovic.

The Coordination Body, together with representatives of the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, makes sustained efforts to permanently solve the problems in South Serbia, especially those relating to the economic growth and reduction of unemployment, which are the biggest issues in the territory of these municipalities.
