PRESIDENT VUCIC: MEDVEDJA AND SIJARINSKA SPA WERE, ARE AND WILL BE PARTS OF SERBIA

1. March 2019.

Medvedja – The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, visited the Jablanica district. On that occasion, President Vucic said that Medvedja and Sijarnska Spa would remain parts of Serbia and that the state would invest significant funds in that part of the country in order to fix up that natural pearl, which is not only the natural pearl of South Serbia.

“A while ago, the President of the Coordination Body, Zoran Stankovic, told me something that is smart and absolutely correct, that we, much more that the Albanians themselves, deal with the statements and various nonsense that we listen to from Pristina politicians. I am not one of those who deal with such statements every day.  But I came here today to say, and I will repeat that in Medvedja, that you should have no doubts about anything and anyone, so Medvedja is in Serbia, Sijarinska Spa is in Serbia. They were and will always be in Serbia”, President Vucic said.

President Vucic said that when it comes to solving problems, including Kosovo and Metohija, the result was the most important, but that when it comes to dealing with challenges, he had a style that differed from those of others - he does not like to threaten and boast but only look at what is written on the traffic lights.

“To those who live here, who are originally from Kosovo and Metohija, I say that they should not worry and that the results will be in favor of Serbia, " President Vucic said.

As he said, he was not concerned about the economic progress of Serbia, but about the appetites of specific people in Pristina. He emphasized that we were faced with irrational leadership in Pristina and that it was not known what could be expected from them

"Our goal is to preserve peace and stability," President Vucic said.

President Vucic also visited the Health Center in Medvedja, in the reconstruction of which the state invested 41 million dinars, and announced the possibility of a great Chinese investor coming to the Lece mine.
