PERSONS WITH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION GET EMPLOYED IN JABLANICA DISTRICT

20. January 2014.

Leskovac - The records of the Leskovac-based branch of the National Employment Office show a noticeably reduced number of the unemployed with primary and secondary school education, as well as a growing number of the unemployed who have acquired college education.

The Leskovac branch of the National Employment Office recorded a decreased number of the unemployed young people that are less than 30 years old.  In 2013, 9.606 unemployed people under the age of 30 were recorded in Jablanica district.  Male persons prevail among the young unemployed people.  A total of 19. 205 people were employed in 2013.

The data of the National Employment Office show that 11. 261 persons were employed for an indefinite period of time in 2013, whereas temporary and occasional jobs were given to 1. 434 people. 422 people were hired on the basis of services contract, while 660 entrepreneurs were recorder, too. At the end of November 2013, there were 9.444 unemployed people over the age of 50 at the Leskovac branch of the National Employment Office, out of whom 3.554 were women.

The records include a total of sixty-five physicians in the territory of Jablanica district, as well as 11 master's degrees in the following occupations: Master of Science in Chemical Technology-, Specialist, Master of Technical Science in Chemical Technology, Master Teacher, Master Teacher of English, Master in Civil Engineering, Master of Economics, Master of Economic Science in Commerce, Master of Science in Electronics, Master in Tourism and Master Manager in Higher Education.

As for the companies that are promoted as very important for increasing employment in  Jablanica district, the National Employment Office’s assistance was, last year,  sought by "Jura", where 404 persons from the unemployed  register got employment. The Greek “Autostop Interiors” company hired 48 people. The "Falke" and "Jeansy" companies didn’t seek any assistance from the National Employment Office in 2013, since they hired labor on the basis of applications of the unemployed, who submitted their CVs at a job fair or directly to the reception desks of those two companies.

Two job fairs were organized in 2013, on April 18 and on November 13. 221 peresons were employed at the April fair. At the second fair, which was held in November, 3. 689 applications were submitted, while only four persons were employed thus far. However, the real effects of the November fair are expected in six months.

The unemployed include mostly those with the lowest level of education. Howoever,  it is interesting that the number of unemployed  in this very category was reduced in November 2013. On the other hand, the number of unemployed with university education increased.

The question is whether it has recently become easier  to employ in Jablanica district  people with lower education and professional qualifications comparted to those who completed higher schools and have more knowledge.
