PBILD HELPS YOUNG PEOPLE TO FIND WORK

15. October 2012.

Source: Jugpress / Bujanovac – As part of the project supported by the PBILD program, eighty young people are currently  undergoing practice at the local companies, said the Program Manager Nicholas Hercules.

"Many of them find permanent jobs," said Mr. Hercules.

The work of PBILD program with the Youth Office has, so far, resulted in more than 200 young people who have undergone various trainings in different fields related to the job search.

„We hope that we will  get from them outstanding applications that will pass the selection procedure. Twenty-five of them will be educated and trained, whereas ten will be funded. What we are extremely proud of is that by this project we don’t create jobs in the local government, but we work with the entrepreneurial spirit of young people and give them concrete support, "said Mr. Hercules while speaking of the second component of the PBILD Program for Economic Development, which deals with the National Employment Office’s initiative.

The first component of the program, which refers to economic development, deals with building the capacities of the Local Economic Development Offices to support entrepreneurship, and it is under this component that PBILD works with 12 municipalities on implementation of the project.

The entire project is worth nine million dollars.

1.7 million Norwegian crowns were earmarked for the project, which is around two million dollars.
