PAINTING COMPETITION FOR THE EU PROGRAM 2020 CALENDAR "MY EUROPEAN COMMUNITY" (DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 15, 2019)

With the support of the European Union, the EU PRO Development Program launched a prize painting competition for secondary and grammar school students from 99 cities and municipalities, including the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, on the theme "My European Community" to encourage young people to better understand their local communities and to understand the problems faced by their fellow citizens from vulnerable groups.

The competition is traditionally organized for the thirteenth time, with the aim of encouraging creativity and activism of young people from the local self-governments involved in the program, and to reward talented students, as well as the schools that support the creative work of young people.

This year's theme puts before secondary school students the task of identifying in their communities the population groups that are in some way neglected or excluded from social flow, or who need help. Students should then propose and creatively present their ideas by which those population groups could be assisted, thus contributing to their becoming equal members of society. Students can also provide the examples of good practices for promoting social inclusion already implemented in their communities.

The best works, according to the estimate of the jury, will be printed on the pages of the EU PRO calendar for 2020, while their authors will be rewarded with laptops, tablets and mobile phones. The EU PRO also invites schools to organize internal school competitions in which they will select the works for participating in the competition, and the school that proves to be the best in engaging and organizing will be awarded a laptop and a projector.

The competition is open until November 15, 2019, while the announcement of the winners, the awards ceremony and the calendar promotion will be organized in December.
